Coming 30th October, 2022, we are going to remember "Sasti viratham" - சட்டி விரதம் to keep fasting for lord muruga. On this day, he attained nirvana - ஜீவ சமாதி. We need to remember about him and his inventions too.
The tamil word "மா சித்தர்" is converted as Master, Maestro in english. The tamil word "மா சித்தர்" indicates lord muruga. Because, he invented a lot. He is a great scientist. The tamil word "வாத்தி" (Vaaththi) also indicates lord muruga. In master movie, there is a song "vaaththi coming" (வாத்தி coming). After you read this small article fully, you could really know why lord muruga called as "மா சித்தர்", "Master", "Maestro", வாத்தி.
We are calling Loard muruga as "அப்பனே முருகா" in tamil which is "muruga, my father". This term spreaded to word wide term like "father of nation", "father of this", "father of that", etc... to invent something.

2. Father of Medicine, Botany & Zoology/மருத்துவம், தாவரவியல் மற்றும் விலங்கியலின் தந்தை. ( i.e. The tamil movie "eazhaam arivu" - ஏழாம் அறிவு. It explains about medicine, botany, zoology, martial arts, medidation, etc... Lord muruga invented a medicine called panjamirtham - பழநி பஞ்சாமிர்தம் which is a instant energy booster for soldiers under him. Nowadays, we are all eating it )
3. Father of Ceramics and Pottery/மண்பாண்டத் தொழிலின் தந்தை. ( Lord muruga invented disk wheel )
4. Father of Dam Building & Water Management/அணை கட்டிடக் கலை மற்றும் நீர் மேலாண்மையின் தந்தை. ( i.e. The tamil movie "Linga" - லிங்கா. It explains about dam building and water management )
5. Father of Electricity/மின்சாரத்தின் தந்தை. ( Additionally, lord agaththiyar invented battery ) ( In hinduism, we have a topic called "mithra varuna sakthi" )
6. Father of Transport (Disk Wheel, Bullock Cart, Bicycle, Sailing Ships)/போக்குவரத்தின் தந்தை ( உருளைச்சக்கரம், மாட்டு வண்டி, மிதிவண்டி, கப்பல் ) ( Lord muruga invented cycle and he called as atlas. Thats why, a famous cycle company choosen his name "atlas" and the famous cycles are from "atlas" cycle company )
7. Father of Alphabetic Writing System (Tamil letters)//அகர முதல எழுத்து முறையின் தந்தை.
8. Father of Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry/கணிதம், இயற்பியல் மற்றும் வேதியியலின் தந்தை.
9. Father of Astronomy, Astrology & Modern Calendar/விண்ணாய்வு, சோதிடம் மற்றும் நவீன நாட்காட்டியின் தந்தை.
10. Father of Geography and Cartography/புவியியல் மற்றும் வரைபடக் கலையின் தந்தை. ( Lord muruga invented latitude/ longitude. He called as atlas. Thats why, the world map is called as atlas. He designed world map. He is a first person in the world to fly around the world by using hot air balloon. In hinduism, somebody said that lord muruga flied around the world by using peacock to get a fruit. In another tamil old movie "உலகம் சுற்றும் வாலிபன்", M. G. R acted as hero who is a scientist. He invented microscope and by using microscope, he designed a weapon vel "வேல்" which is similar to male sperm. 15. Father of Psychology & Psychiatry/மனோதத்துவ மற்றும் மன நோய் சிகிச்சையின் தந்தை. ( Thats why, kandha sasti kavasam is asking lord muruga to save the body parts from head to foot. Because, he might have lived as a physiotherapist too. i.e. The tamil movie "Chandramukhi" - சந்திரமுகி. It explains about Psychology & Psychiatry via a character "Saravanan" - Rajinikanth. The character saravanan - Rajinikantha always says "Yaamirukka payamen? Saravanan irukka payamen?" which is about lord muruga )
16. Father of Ornithology/பறவையியலின் தந்தை. ( i.e. The tamil movie "2.0". It explains about to save birds via "Pakshiraajan" - பட்சிராசன் character )
